Hi. Do I need any welding so that the device can be used ?

Welcome aboard, Ashurek. :D

If you buy an assembled unit like these, you will only need to strip wires for the screw terminals and crimp quick disconnects (QDs) for the joystick and button microswitches.

If you buy a Minimus AVR or an unassembled kit you will need to solder (weld) the wires and/or pin headers and/or screw terminals.

If you aren't comfortable crimping QDs, there are vendors like Paradise Arcade Shop where you can buy pre-crimped wires and "daisy-chain" grounds or you can buy a JAMMA harness and cut off the edge connector.

Stock is low right now as we prepare to move to new hardware.

It will have real analog input, multimode output, and a few more pins. Not sure about the date.

Are you talking about the miniConsole+ or are you referring to some other project?
